Girls for Truth

Empowering girls with the TRUTH in a world lacking absolutes.

Apologetics University 2008

I’m back from Apologetics University and ready to get back to blogging! It has been an amazing week of traveling with my mom and sister, meeting other Christians, learning about World Religions, and growing in my faith!

I was blessed to personally meet, face to face, with a new friend that I had recently been introduced to, Kim Davidson. Kim has the awesome job of being Randy Stinson’s administrative assistant! She prepared a picnic lunch for us that was absolutely delicious! Thank you Kim! You have encouraged me not only as a young woman living for Christ, but to also be as hospitable as you were to me! After my lunch with Kim, I interviewed her for a post to share with you later this week.

Thank you to Dan Dewitt, our camp pastor, for all of your hard work and edifying preaching! Also, thank you to our keynote speakers, Dr. Chad Brand, and Travis Kerns (soon to be Dr. Kerns!). You two are a wealth of knowledge and thank you for teaching us so diligently!

The fellowship was as amazing as the teaching. The relationships that we have begun with one another will only blossom as we serve Christ in our lives despite the many directions we may go. I love every one of you and thank God for you!

To all you gentlemen at AU~~ I’ve never had so many doors opened for me, chairs pulled out for me, or had so much respect shown towards me, as by you! As one of the many girls that were a recipient of your chivalry, I thank you!

So glad that couple of days you were in KY were enjoyable and engaging. I think I saw your Mom and sister the next day, but didn’t quite know if it was them so I didn’t want to make a fool out of myself! :)
Have a great day! Let me know what you are reading too! :)

I love your site. It was really awesome to meet you at AU. I really enjoyed the teaching and fellowship also. I second that on the chivalry, thanks to all the “TeenPact” guys.

It was really nice meeting you. I really wish that you got to meet my mom and my sister. That was one of the first things we talked about on the way home. They would have loved to have met you. You are more than welcome to visit us anytime, Savannah is beautiful.

    Brooke C:
Thanks for checking out my blog! It was really nice meeting you as well.

    Pastor Nick:
I have been excited about AU since you first told me about it and I am so thankful that I got to go. I really learned a lot and it further ignited my passion for world missions. I am looking forward to sharing what I learned with everybody.

I’d love to tell you all about it, and I’m thinking that it’s a great excuse for a sleepover! :-P

Memorization Verse of the Week

Isaiah 48:17-19 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go. Oh that you had paid attention to my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea; your offspring would have been like the sand, and your descendants like its grains; their name would never be cut off or destroyed from before me.”
